Advance Labor Law Training
Phan & Corp Law Office organized the training on “Labor Law”, with the participation of 27 attendees including 9 women) at E&M Restaurant.
The training was facilitated by Mr. An NAN, Attorney-at-Law, and brought together participants from various universities in Phnom Penh, as well as staff from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private companies, and legal practitioners.
International Law on Freedom of Expression
Under the program of the Legal Studies Foundation, Phan & Corp organized a training course under the technical assistance of FHI and USAID, creating a two-day short course for lawyers, legal assistants and students to learn about international law in detail about Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Assembly in Cambodia and in International context, presented by Mrs. Julia Wang, Legal Advisor of ICNL. On the first day of this course, we have seen the active participation and feedback of students who have developed ideas and want to learn more about international law, which is a positive sign of exercising the Legal Studies Foundation's policy that aim to increase human resource in legal sector.
Basic Labor Law Training
On the afternoon of 25 February 2024 Phan & Corp Law Office organized the Basic Labor Law Training Program successfully concluded.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Nop Somnang, Attorney-at-Law, Director of the Legal Education Department, who provided participants with a foundational understanding of Cambodian labor law and its practical application.
Current Developments in Labor Law
Director of Phan & Corp and youth volunteers in Legal Studies Foundation services participated in a seminar on “Current Developments in Labor Law in Cambodia,” organized by the University of Cambodia with support from the Solidarity Center (SC) at the Sunway Hotel.
The seminar focused on recent developments in Cambodian labor law, employees’ rights, and presentations of student research on employment contracts in Cambodia.
Building on this initiative, Phan & Corp Law Office plans to launch a special training program on Young Legal Leadership and Labor Policy to strengthen the capacity of young professionals in labor law and public policy. The program will cover legal and policy frameworks, research methodology, negotiation skills, in-depth legal analysis, leadership development, and internship opportunities.
